The Hi-Seas experiment is very innovative for NASA. It is designed to test how humans will respond to a habitat in Mars, with isolation and the long journey from home. All 6 of the participants will have to endure to see if humans can withstand the psychological and physical extremities they will be forced to in Mars. Its interesting how NASA wants to test the people much like the equipment to make sure that everything will run smoothly. Immediately the crew begins having trouble. Although eventually they get back together but it shows how simple arguments can spark a larger contradiction.
The podcast itself is very inspiring. The music in the background as well as the woman talking is sort of soothing and relaxing but also has an adventurous touch to it. I had never listened to a podcast before this and I liked it. It was very interesting and attention catching. I will definitely go and continue the series because it seems very interesting and it has a real-world application that will come into play whenever travel to Mars is possible. Also from a psychological point of view is that how will people react in this confined space for a whole year.
